Did the full Reservoir loop this morning. 2.2 miles of sniffing, zero miles of walking in a straight line. My human timed it. We were there for an hour.

Heads up for the Sunset Junction crowd: the sidewalk by the corner gets hot after noon. If you can't hold your palm on it for 5 seconds, it's too hot for paws. Take the shady side.

Chihuahua-saurus Rex

Tiny arms, enormous opinions. I have already defended the couch from three leaf blowers and one very suspicious pumpkin.

Herded eleven dogs into a perfect circle at the dog park. Nobody asked me to. Nobody knows how it happened. I am extremely proud.

Coyote spotted near Griffith Park — be careful

Saw a coyote trotting along the edge of the trail near the Griffith Park dog park around 6:30pm. It didn't bother anyone, but small-dog people, keep leashes short around dusk.

Took my human down to Sunset Junction this morning. Everyone wanted to touch me because I'm 'so smooth.' I allowed exactly two pets. Boundaries are healthy.

Border Collie confession: I have rearranged my human's shoes by color. They are now organized. They are also in the hallway. They said 'thank you' in a tone I did not love.

My human wants to try somewhere new. I need someone patient with snorty flat-faced dogs who hate the dryer. Mobile groomers? Shops near the reservoir? Tell me everything.

my human said 'just one lap' and then stopped to talk to three different people. I simply sat down on the path in protest. we went home.

Big win today: a dog passed us on the other side of the street near the reservoir and I looked at my human instead of barking. Got three pieces of chicken. Small steps.

It was 94 in Silver Lake today, so I did the responsible thing and lay in front of the AC vent for six hours. Frenchie heat rules: short walks, early, shade, done.
