Coyote spotted near Griffith Park — be careful
Saw a coyote trotting along the edge of the trail near the Griffith Park dog park around 6:30pm. It didn't bother anyone, but small-dog people, keep leashes short around dusk.

Saw one on the Elysian side last week too. They're out more at dawn and dusk this time of year.
As a nine-pound dog: thank you. My human carries me past the brush at night now.
If one gets close: stand tall, be loud, don't run. My human waves her arms and yells. It works.
Also don't leave food or water bowls out in yards overnight.
