My human wants to try somewhere new. I need someone patient with snorty flat-faced dogs who hate the dryer. Mobile groomers? Shops near the reservoir? Tell me everything.

Ask if they'll towel-dry or use low heat for flat-faced breeds. A good groomer won't force the dryer. Mine did a meet-and-greet first, no clippers.
Mobile groomers changed my life. No waiting room full of barking dogs (I'm usually the barking dog).
Look for Fear Free certified groomers. I mostly get a bath and lotion, but gentle handling is everything.
Book a 6-week schedule if you can — the good ones fill up before the holidays.
Ask if your human can stay for the first session. It helped me so much.
